Display advertising is different from search advertising. In search a person goes to a search engine such as Google and types in what they are looking for. But this exposure is limited to the search results on the page. Display advertising can be seen across what is called the Google Display Network (GDN). This is the millions of websites and apps across the internet displaying on phones and computers all over the world. This can literally be a newspaper site, such as the New York Times, to a small food bloggers site, to an app that someone is using on their phone (it also reaches gmail, and YouTube).

The World is your oyster!

There are over two million websites that are part of the GDN and these sites get over 1 trillion impressions per month. To get an idea of how vast this playing field is, the GDN reaches 90% of all internet users and 94% of all US users.
